Linda Wolfsgruber

Linda Wolfsgruber was born in 1961 in Bruneck, South Tyrol. She attended the art school in Ortisei and trained as a typesetter and graphic artist in Munich and Bruneck. She subsequently studied at the Scuola del Libro in Urbino. Since 1986, she has illustrated books for children and adults, and since 1990 she has also written her own texts. Her work has included freelance illustration and graphic design, typography, and paper theatre. She lived in Tehran from 2005 to 2006. Her work has received numerous awards, including the Austrian Art Prize in 2016 and the Christine Nöstlinger Prize for Children’s and Young Adult Literature in 2022.
