Juliane Breinl

Juliane Breinl grew up in Leipzig and Mainz. She studied clinical linguistics or neurolinguistics in Frankfurt am Main and Bielefeld, then worked as a speech, language and voice therapist. She also trained in classical singing as a mezzo-soprano. Her first children’s book was published in 2011; after winning a children’s and young adult writing competition, she made writing her profession. She also worked as a journalist, lecturer and speech trainer. Breinl has two children.
