Anja Janotta

Anja Janotta (born 1970) spent her childhood in Saudi Arabia and Algeria. She studied journalism and initially worked as a journalist and freelance copywriter before publishing books for children and young adults from 2014 onward. Her debut, *Linkslesestärke*, was published in 2015 and received the Lesepeter award from AJuM. In 2020, she won the DELIA Young Adult Literature Prize for *Meine Checkliste zum Verlieben*. Janotta is also the author of *Die Isar-Detektive*, a children’s mystery series commissioned by the Bavarian Parliament, and is a founding member of the Isarautoren.
