John Henry Hill

John Henry Hill (1839–1922) was an American painter best known for his still lifes. He studied with his father, the painter John William Hill. Hill exhibited at institutions including the National Academy of Design, the Brooklyn Academy of Art, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. A journey through the American West in 1868 inspired a series of large-scale landscape paintings.
