Jan Brandt was born in 1974 in Leer, East Frisia. As an author, he published his novel “Gegen die Welt” in 2011; it was shortlisted for the German Book Prize and received the Nicolas Born Debut Prize. His other works include “Tod in Turin” (2015), “Stadt ohne Engel” (2016), “Der magische Adventskalender” (2018), and “Ein Haus auf dem Land/Eine Wohnung in der Stadt” (2019).
