Born in 1975, Jan Beck initially worked as a lawyer before turning to writing. He is best known for his thrillers featuring Inga Björk and Christian Brand, including The Game, The Night, The Trail and The End. These novels all reached the SPIEGEL bestseller list. His series featuring criminal psychologist Simon Dorn and investigator Lea Wagner began with DORN: Room 103 – Hotel of Fear. Beck has also described a particular fondness for nature, especially forests.
