In 2019, »Eisige Tage« launched his crime series featuring investigators Hanna Seiler and Milo Novic, set in Leipzig, Pohl’s home city. Further installments include »Heißes Pflaster« and »Stumme Hölle«. Before working as a freelance writer, Pohl held a range of jobs, including engineer, professional musician, work in recording studios and advertising. »Forever, Ida« was his first crime series for young readers.
