Flix (born 1976) is an illustrator and comic artist. He studied communication design and published his graduation project, *held*, with Carlsen. His work includes autobiographical comics and the newspaper series *Da war mal was …*, *Schöne Töchter*, *Faust*, and *Don Quixote*, all of which have been collected in book form. Together with Ralph Ruthe, he created the children’s comic series *Ferdinand*. In 2018, Flix became the first German-speaking artist to create an adventure for the Franco-Belgian series *Spirou*; *Das Humboldt-Tier* followed as an adventure set in the *Marsupilami* universe. His work has received awards including the Max and Moritz Prize and the PENG! Prize and has been translated into nine languages.
