Emmanuel Guibert

Emmanuel Guibert (born 1964 in Paris) is a French comic writer and artist. He achieved his breakthrough in 1997 with “La fille du professeur,” written by Joann Sfar. He gained international recognition for the photo-comic reportage “The Photographer,” created with photographer Didier Lefèvre, and for “Alan’s War.” Guibert also co-created the children’s comic series “Ariol” with artist Marc Boutavant. He has collaborated with, among others, Joann Sfar and Christophe Blain. In 2020, he received the Grand Prix de la Ville d’Angoulême.
