Charlie Adlard (born 1966) is an English comic artist. He initially studied film and video before turning to comics and receiving his first assignments in 1992. His early work includes the series NOBODY and art for X-FILES, SHADOWMAN, MARS ATTACKS!, HELLBLAZER, BATMAN and SUPERMAN. For Marvel, he worked on HEROES REBORN: MASTERS OF EVIL and the miniseries X-MEN – HELLFIRE CLUB, among other projects. He is best known as the artist of THE WALKING DEAD, written by Robert Kirkman, which he joined from its second story arc in 2004. His work on the series earned him an Eisner Award nomination.
