Christina Thurner

Christina Thurner (born 1971) is a professor of dance studies at the Institute of Theatre Studies at the University of Bern. From 2020 to 2024, she led the project “Auto_Bio_Grafie als Performance. Ein tanzhistoriografisches Innovationsfeld,” funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation. Her research focuses on the history and aesthetics of dance from the eighteenth to the twenty-first century, as well as dance criticism.
