Carlos Ezquerra

Carlos Ezquerra (1947–2018) was a Spanish comic artist. He first published extensively in Spain before moving to London in the mid-1970s to work closer to the English-language comics scene. In 1977, he became a co-creator of Judge Dredd for the science-fiction magazine 2000 AD. He also helped launch Strontium Dog and adapted Harry Harrison’s character the Stainless Steel Rat for comics. With Garth Ennis, Ezquerra created stories for titles including Hitman, Preacher, The Boys, Bloody Mary, Adventures of the Rifle Brigade, Just a Pilgrim, War Story, Battlefields, and World of Tanks.
