Garth Ennis

Garth Ennis, born in Northern Ireland in 1970, began his career on the British comics market in 1989 with »Troubled Souls«, illustrated by John McCrea. He subsequently published work in titles including »2000 AD« and »Judge Dredd Magazine« before moving into the US comics market. For DC Comics, he wrote »Hellblazer«, »Hitman«, »The Demon« and »Unknown Soldier«, and co-created »Preacher« with Steve Dillon. For Marvel, he wrote an extensive »Punisher« saga as well as »Thor: Vikings«, »Ghost Rider: Trail of Tears« and »Fury MAX«. With Darick Robertson, he co-created »The Boys«. His other work includes war comics and creator-owned series such as »The Chronicles of Wormwood«, »Jimmy’s Bastards« and »Crossed«. Ennis received multiple Eisner Awards for »Hitman«.
