Timothy Zahn

Timothy Zahn, born in Chicago in 1951, is an American science fiction author. He is best known for the “Thrawn” trilogy, set several years after Return of the Jedi in the Star Wars universe. The trilogy was followed by further Star Wars novels. Zahn received the Hugo Award for his novella “Cascade Point”.
