Barbara Kindermann

Barbara Kindermann (1955–2020) was a German author, editor and publisher. She studied German, philosophy and languages in Geneva, Dublin, Florence and Göttingen, and completed a doctorate. After working as an editor for several years, she founded Kindermann Verlag in Berlin in 1994. She published, among other works, the “World Literature for Children” series and developed further series introducing classics to young readers. In 1993, she edited the third volume of the Grimms’ Sagas.
