Sonja Wimmer (born 1974) studied graphic design in Munich and illustration at Barcelona’s Llotja School of Arts and Crafts. After working for several years as a graphic designer in Munich and Brussels, she worked as a freelance illustrator for publishers and other clients worldwide. Several of her books received awards in the United States, including the Independent Publisher Book Award (IPPY), the International Latino Book Award, and the Moonbeam Children’s Book Award.
