Antje Vollmer

Antje Vollmer (1943–2023) was a German politician, theologian, and author. In 1983, she joined the first Green parliamentary group in the German Bundestag and served as Vice President of the Bundestag from 1994 to 2005. As a writer and publicist, she published, among other subjects, on contemporary history and the resistance to Nazi dictatorship. Her political and literary work earned her several awards, including the Hannah Arendt Prize, the Carl von Ossietzky Medal, and the Masaryk Order.
