Wolfgang Ohler

Wolfgang Ohler was born in Zweibrücken in 1943. He studied law in Tübingen and Saarbrücken and received a doctorate in law. He subsequently worked as a judge in the Palatinate, later presiding over the First Criminal Senate and serving as vice president of the Palatinate Higher Regional Court. He retired in 2008. Ohler published numerous novels and short stories, as well as radio plays, stage plays, and contributions to crime-fiction anthologies. His works include “Die Träumer von Struthof.” From 1990 to 1999, he served as managing director of the Literary Association of the Palatinate and was also a co-owner of Echo Verlag in Zweibrücken. In 2017, he received the Palatinate District Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award for Literature.
