Wladimir Velminski

Wladimir Velminski, born in 1976 in Dushanbe, then part of the Soviet Union, studied mathematics, physics, Slavic studies and cultural studies in Moscow and Berlin. He received a doctorate in art history from Humboldt University of Berlin in 2008. He has worked in cultural and media studies research and teaching at institutions including Humboldt University of Berlin, Bauhaus University Weimar and the University of Zurich. His publications include studies on the cultural history of Eastern Europe.
