Dorothea Trottenberg (born 1957 in Dortmund) is a Slavist, librarian, and translator of Russian literature. She studied Slavic studies in Cologne and Saint Petersburg and worked at the University Library of Basel. Authors whose works she translated into German include Leo Tolstoy, Ivan Turgenev, Ivan Bunin, Mikhail Bulgakov, Nikolai Gogol, Vladimir Sorokin, and Sergei Dovlatov. Her translations received several awards, including the Christoph Martin Wieland Translation Prize in 2007, the Paul Celan Prize in 2012, and the City of Zurich Cultural Award in 2017.
