Walle Sayer

Walle Sayer was born in 1960 in Bierlingen near Tübingen. He began publishing poetry and prose in 1984. His works include Kohlrabenweißes, Was in die Streichholzschachtel paßte (2016), and the poetry collection Mitbringsel (2019). Sayer received, among other honors, the Berthold Auerbach Prize, the Thaddäus Troll Prize, the Basel and Gerlingen Poetry Prizes, and a 2020–21 annual fellowship from the German Literature Fund.
