Verena Maatman

Verena Maatman was born and raised in the Rhineland. After studying at the University of Mainz, she worked as a professional translator of Italian, French, and English and as an editor in Bonn and Modena in northern Italy. She later worked in the language services department of a Swiss company. Alongside writing, she pursued music and played the violin in chamber ensembles and orchestras.
