Tanja Wenz (born 1972 in Bremen) is an author of books for children and young adults as well as adults. Before turning to writing, she worked as a nurse. Her first children’s book, “Fips und der kleine Marder Herdubär oder Geschichten aus dem Wald,” was published by Geest-Verlag in 2014. She had previously told her children bedtime stories about woodland animals. Wenz has also published books and short stories on historical subjects and received two awards for her short stories.
