Sybille Baecker

Sybille Baecker is originally from Lower Saxony. After studying business administration in Münster and Neu-Ulm, she worked for many years as an IT process engineer at an international company and later as a press officer for a sports association in Stuttgart. She is known for crime novels and short stories, as well as for her crime series featuring Inspector Andreas Brander, a whisky enthusiast. Her books combine crime and whisky, reflecting her interest in Scotland and Scotch whisky. In 2020, she received a working scholarship from the authors’ network Mörderische Schwestern.
