Tad Williams

Tad Williams, born in 1957 in San José, California, is an American author best known for his fantasy and science-fiction series. His major works include The Dragonbone Chair and its Osten Ard cycle, Otherland, and Shadowmarch. Before becoming a writer, Williams worked in a computer company, as a teacher, in theater, and as a shoe salesman, among other jobs. He also sang in the rock band Idiot and hosted a radio show for ten years. In addition to novels, he wrote screenplays and radio plays and contributed to the development of computer games and comics.
