Swami Atmarupananda discovered the nondual Vedanta tradition of Hinduism as a teenager and joined the Ramakrishna monastic order in 1969. During his monastic and spiritual training in India, he served as an Acharya (professor) at the order’s monastery seminary in Kolkata and as deputy editor of the journal Prabuddha Bharata. He later gave lectures and led retreats in English and Spanish. He also participated in interfaith dialogue and conferences addressing new models of economic and social development.
