Svenja Liesau was born in Magdeburg in 1989 and studied acting at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin. In 2013, the year she graduated, she joined the ensemble of the State Theatre Stuttgart; from 2017, she was engaged at Berlin’s Maxim Gorki Theatre. She has appeared in theatre, film and television productions, including the screen adaptation of »Altes Land«, and has also worked as a voice artist. This novel marked her debut as an author.
