Rudolf Jaun

Rudolf Jaun studied history, public law and sociology. From 1985 to 1996, he directed several research projects funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation. From 1998 to 2005, he headed the archival service of the Swiss Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection, Sport and the Swiss Armed Forces. Between 2005 and 2013, Jaun taught at the Military Academy at ETH Zurich. He also held the position of adjunct professor of modern history and military history at the University of Zurich’s Department of History.
