Richard Lifka

Richard Lifka was born in 1955 and grew up in Wiesbaden, Germany. He studied politics, history and sociology in Mainz and Frankfurt am Main. From 1983 to 1989, he taught literary studies and German cultural history at the University of Iași in Romania. He subsequently worked as a freelance author and journalist. Lifka wrote crime novels, short stories and crime fiction; his works include the crime novel “Sonnenkönig.” He was a member of Das Syndikat, an association of German-language crime writers, and the German Association of Press Journalists. His enthusiasm for the Beatles began in 1968, when he received one of the band’s singles as a gift.
