Michael Kibler, born in Heilbronn in 1963, is a German writer. He studied German literature, film studies and psychology at Goethe University Frankfurt and received his doctorate in 1998. From 1991 onward, he worked as a copywriter, writer and public-relations professional, becoming freelance in 2002. His first crime novel, “Madonnenkinder,” was published in 2005. He became best known for crime novels featuring the Darmstadt investigators Steffen Horndeich and Margot Hesgart. In 2014, he published “Sterbenszeit,” the first crime novel featuring BKA chief inspector Lorenz Rasper. Kibler also wrote nonfiction books and short stories.
