Raphael Urweider

Raphael Urweider, born in Bern in 1974, is a Swiss poet. He published the poetry collections “Lichter in Menlo Park” (2000), “Das Gegenteil von Fleisch” (2003), and “Alle deine Namen” (2008). His poetry received several awards, including the Leonce and Lena Prize (1999), the advancement award of the Bremen Literature Prize (2001), the 3sat Prize at the Days of German-Language Literature (2002), the Clemens Brentano Prize (2004), and the Schiller Prize (2008). He also wrote plays, served as co-director of Schlachthaus Theater Bern, and worked as a translator from Swiss German, English, and French.
