Pedro Lenz (born 1965 in Langenthal, Switzerland) is a Swiss poet, writer and columnist. Before turning to literature, he trained as a bricklayer, completed his secondary education as an adult and studied Spanish literature for several semesters at the University of Bern. He has worked as a freelance author since 2001. His best-known works include the novel Der Goalie bin ig, also published as Der Goalie bin ich, which has been translated into several languages, adapted for the stage and made into a film. Lenz received the 2014 Swiss Film Award for the screenplay of the film adaptation. His literary work has also earned him, among other distinctions, the Bern Literature Prize, the Schiller Prize for Literature and the Swiss Cabaret Award in 2015.
