Oliver Ruf

Oliver Ruf is a scholar of media and design studies. He has served as a professor of media and design studies at Furtwangen University and as a professor of media aesthetics at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences. His areas of research include media aesthetics and history, media archaeology, cultural techniques, and design and media theory. His publications include “Platons Phaidros oder Vom Schönen” (2015) and “Smartphone-Ästhetik. Zur Philosophie und Gestaltung mobiler Medien” (2018).
