Gass, Graham Greene, Cormac McCarthy, Thomas Pynchon, Colson Whitehead, Ben Lerner, and Emma Cline. His work has received several awards, including the Heinrich Maria Ledig-Rowohlt Translator’s Prize, the Paul Celan Prize, the Literature Prize of the City of Stuttgart, and the Straelen Translation Prize of the Kunststiftung NRW.
