Ocean Vuong

Ocean Vuong was born in 1988 in Saigon, Vietnam, and moved to the United States with his family at the age of two. He is a poet and writer. His poetry has received several awards, including the Whiting Award for Poetry (2016) and the T. S. Eliot Prize (2017). His debut novel, *On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous*, was published in 2019 and received, among other honors, the American Book Award. His other works include the poetry collections *Night Sky with Exit Wounds* (2020) and *Time Is a Mother* (2022).
