Michael Windgassen

Michael Windgassen, born in 1953 in Wuppertal, studied social sciences, American studies and philosophy. He earned a diploma in social sciences and a Magister degree in American studies and philosophy, and also spent a year studying in the United States. As a translator from English into German, he worked on fiction, nonfiction, poetry, essays, exhibition catalogues, texts on music and scholarly articles. He also worked in journalism for periods. He began translating during his studies.
