Bernard Cornwell

Bernard Cornwell, born in London in 1944, worked for many years at the BBC, including in Northern Ireland, after studying history. He went on to publish numerous historical novels and thrillers. He is best known for the Sharpe series, which was adapted for television by the BBC, starring Sean Bean. Cornwell received the Order of the British Empire.
