Esther Perel is a psychotherapist and author whose work focuses on modern relationships and couples therapy. She is known for the books »Mating in Captivity« and »The State of Affairs«, published in German as »Was Liebe braucht« and »Was Liebe aushält«. Both became New York Times bestsellers and have been translated into more than 30 languages. Perel also produced and hosted the podcasts »Where Should We Begin?« and »How’s Work?« and developed the storytelling card game »Where Should We Begin – A Game of Stories«. According to the publishers, she speaks nine languages.
