Luc Ciompi (born 1929) is a Swiss psychiatrist and schizophrenia researcher. From 1977 to 1994, he was Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Bern and medical director of the university’s social psychiatry clinic. He developed the concept of affect-logic and founded the therapeutic residential community Soteria Bern. Ciompi is a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy and holds an honorary doctorate.
