Klaus Siblewski, born in Frankfurt am Main in 1950, was a publishing editor and a professor at the Institute of Literary Writing and Literary Studies at the University of Hildesheim. From 1980 onward, he worked as an editor and helped shape the program of Luchterhand Verlag. He edited, among others, collected works by Ernst Jandl and Peter Härtling, as well as works by Peter Turrini. In 2005, he founded the German Editors’ Conference, which he chaired until 2015. His publications include Die diskreten Kritiker. Was Lektoren tun (2005), the collaborative volumes Wie Romane entstehen (2008), Wie Gedichte entstehen (2009), and Wie Dramen entstehen (2012), and Der Gelegenheitskritiker (2017).
