Klaus Dittmann (born 1939) trained as an actor and performed at various theatres, including Hamburg’s Thalia Theater, the municipal theatres in Frankfurt, the Schillertheater and the Deutsches Theater Berlin. In 1988 and 1989, he toured Europe with Giorgio Strehler and his Milan-based Piccolo Teatro. From 1970 onward, Dittmann took on numerous roles in film and television, including appearances in “Tatort,” “Alphateam” and “Großstadtrevier.” He also worked in radio, as a voice actor and as a director. For Hörverlag, he contributed to Kai Meyer’s “Wolkenvolk” trilogy and audio productions of “Robinson Crusoe” and “Oliver Twist,” among others.
