Katrin Stangl, born in Filderstadt in 1977, studied at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig, where she was a master student of Volker Pfüller and Thomas M. Müller. As an illustrator and artist, she illustrates her own and other authors’ texts using a range of techniques. Her books, illustrations, and prints have received several awards, including the Stiftung Buchkunst Prize and the Hans Meid Promotional Award. Her picture books include “Schwimmt Brot in Milch?” and “Der Junge, der Ball und die Mauer” (text by Noemi Schneider).
