Johannes Fiederling studied translation and interpreting in Duisburg, Munich and Shanghai. He then worked for seven years in the language service of the German Federal Foreign Office. From 2017 onward, he worked as a full-time literary translator. Authors he has translated include Wang Ting-Kuo, Liu Cixin and Ruan Guang-Min. He was already fascinated by comics, manga and graphic novels before he could read.
