Johanna Gastdorf

Johanna Gastdorf trained in acting at the University of Music and Theatre in Hanover and gained her first stage experience at the State Theatre of Hanover. She subsequently worked at venues including theatres in Munich and Bochum. She became widely known through Sönke Wortmann’s film “The Miracle of Bern” (Das Wunder von Bern). For her role, she received the Bavarian Film Award for Best Supporting Actress and was also nominated for the German Film Award. Gastdorf has appeared in more than 140 film and television productions and has narrated audiobook classics including Jane Austen’s “Sense and Sensibility.”
