Heribert Prantl

Heribert Prantl (born 1953) is a jurist, journalist, and author. After working as a judge and public prosecutor, he joined the Süddeutsche Zeitung, where he headed the politics department for many years and served on the editorial board. Prantl has published numerous books and political essays. His journalistic work has received, among other honors, the Geschwister Scholl Prize, the Kurt Tucholsky Prize for Literary Journalism, the Erich Fromm Prize, the Theodor Wolff Prize, and the Brothers Grimm Prize.
