Heinz Wolf

Heinz Wolf, born in Vienna in 1959, is an Austrian comic artist and illustrator. He trained as a stage and decorative painter at the Austrian Federal Theatres before working as a freelance comic artist and illustrator. Wolf co-founded the KABINETT comic passage in Vienna’s MuseumsQuartier and TISCH14 at the Rüdigerhof. In 2018, he received the ICOM Award for Best Short Comic for “Verhandlungssache,” published in the Lovecraft anthology “Echo des Wahnsinns.” His publications include “MOLCH,” created with Nicolas Mahler, as well as “Max & Moritz auf Wienerisch,” with Christian Hemelmayr, and “Der Wiener Struwwelpeter,” with Harald Pesata.
