Daniel Decker

Daniel Decker, born in Neuss in 1982, studied German literature and musicology. He wrote for magazines and websites including Intro, Musikexpress and Rolling Stone, as well as other publications. From 2001 onward, he released music under the name Pawnshop Orchestra and, from 2010, also under his own name. In 2009, he began running the blog “Kotzendes Einhorn,” which focuses on music and culture. His episodic novel “Dør,” about a dark band collective and its supposedly lost sixth LP, was published in 2019. Decker has also released the album “Weißer Wal” as a singer and songwriter.
