Evke Rulffes is a German cultural scholar, author, and curator. In 2018, she received her doctorate from Humboldt University of Berlin with a dissertation on Christian Friedrich Germershausen’s “Hausmutter” and household manuals of the late Enlightenment. Her book “Die Erfindung der Hausfrau” grew out of this work. In 2023, she co-curated the exhibition “unBinding Bodies. Lotosschuhe und Korsett” with Jasmin Mersmann; it was shown in Berlin and Hamburg.
