Elisabeth Weber

Elisabeth Weber, born in 1951 in Heyerode in the Eichsfeld region, trained as a primary-school teacher at the Institute for Teacher Training in Nordhausen, completing her qualification in 1971. She worked for forty years at various primary schools in Thuringia, most recently at Forstberg Primary School in Mühlhausen, before retiring in 2011. She subsequently devoted more time to writing and published poems and short stories in anthologies. Her first book, “Zeugnisse” (2019), is an autobiographical narrative focusing on the period from 1989 to 2000. In “Montags kommt keine Post” (2021), she addressed her experiences of living with breast cancer.
