Emma Braslavsky

Emma Braslavsky was born in Erfurt in 1971. She has worked as a freelance author and curator. Her debut novel, “Aus dem Sinn,” received the Uwe Johnson Young Author’s Award in 2007. Her story “Ich bin dein Mensch” served as the basis for Maria Schrader’s film of the same name, which won four German Film Awards in 2022 and was selected as Germany’s submission for the Oscars.
